Admission Requirements
Students Entering Form I
Students entering Form I must be 5 years old by Sept. 1st of the beginning of that school year. We can provide you a “Form I Readiness” document for you to look over and review to help determine whether Form I is an appropriate fit for your student.
Students Entering Forms II-VI
Forms allow for flexibility when considering placement for a child in the realm of academics. If a child has successfully completed the previous school year, and his schoolwork and behavior compare favorably to The Daniel Academy’s academic standards, he will be placed in the form for which he is applying. However, if there is evidence that the child may not be adequately prepared for the next sequential form, he may be required to repeat the form.
We will discuss personally with each family which form your student would fit in with best based on their age and other academic and social factors.
Parent Agreement
Parents should have a clear understanding of the biblical philosophy and purpose of The Daniel Academy. This understanding includes a willingness to have their child exposed to teaching that is in line with the school’s Statement of Faith in various and frequent ways within the school’s program.
Parents should have a clear understanding of our unique classical educational approach and their role as a co-teacher. We encourage each parent to read the book by Douglas Wilson, Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning, as one of the best texts for explaining the the classical approach we offer at The Daniel Academy.
Parents are required to cooperate with all the written policies of The Daniel Academy. This is especially important in the area of discipline and schoolwork standards, as well as active communication with the respective teachers and administration. In addition, parents are strongly encouraged to become active volunteers in other areas of the school.
