Form Overviews
Form i
Students age 5-7 years old will attend for a half day on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the school year. Our youngest Daniels will engage with learning through hands-on activities, stories, games, and art while they gently begin their journey into learning the 3R’s of Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. Students will memorize key facts and meditate on scripture verses in order to set the stage for later learning and will begin memorizing a timeline of World History.
Form ii
Students age 7-9 years old will attend for a half day on Mondays and Wednesdays through the school year. The memorization of key facts and concepts will continue while engaging with subjects through story, art and song. Students will continue a classical approach to learning the subjects of Bible, History, and Science. Training in art focusing on the elements of art will occur weekly as well.
Form iii
Students age 9-12 years old will begin to take more intensive steps in their pursuit of Grammar and Writing. Curriculum from the Institute for Excellence in Writing will be utilized to help build a strong foundation in these areas. An abundance of rich literature will be given to be read independently or aloud by parents and students will begin to discuss the books, focusing on the character development and plot. Form III students will continue their studies of History, Bible, Science, and art in a similar style to what was started in Form II.
